Photography for me is, and always has been, an art form. I am intrigued by what can be captured at that frozen moment in time when the shutter release is pressed.
I grew up in Bushnell’s Basin in Western New York and currently live in Geneseo. After graduating from Pittsford Mendon High School I went to work full time at my father's graphic art design and printing company in Rochester. I was involved in all aspects of the business doing everything from pre-press work, pressman, art department board artist and darkroom supervisor. I switched careers in 1978 to Law Enforcement but stayed involved with photography as a hobby, keeping up to date with the changes in technology. After retiring from 30 years at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office I’m back to photography, applying my techniques from my film days to the new digital equipment. I like to use on camera filters in the field rather than do a lot of post processing. My scenic landscape photographs are of local sights and events as well as from when I travel. I also do portrait work, weddings and business photo shoots with clients ranging from Envy Salon, Hoselton Auto Mall, Hurricane Technologies and The Village Tavern to name a few. My photographs have been published in the Geneseo Tourism Brochure and The Livingston County Tourism Visitors Guide in addition to my freelance work as a photographer for The Livingston County News and The Genesee Sun.
